How Templates Work

Creating Your Own Templates

While you can't create templates in the system, you can:

  1. Create a custom strategy from scratch
  2. Add all your rules
  3. Share it with other traders
  4. They can import it as their own template

Best Practices

Start Simple

If you're new to a methodology, start with beginner templates and add complexity as you gain experience.

Understand Before Trading

Read and understand every rule before trading a template. The rules are meaningless if you don't know what you're looking for.

Paper Trade First

Test templates in paper trading before risking real capital. Ensure you can identify setups and execute correctly.

Customize Gradually

Import the template as-is, trade it, then modify based on your results. Don't change everything at once.

Document Changes

Use strategy notes to record why you modified rules. This helps track what's working.
